I am so happy to see this issue is being addressed. It is so critical. Thank you. I wonder also where the fit is to collaborate with community resources to meet the diversified needs of patients.
This module is my favorite! It had my mind racing with ways to expand and improve our current Family as Faculty program at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. I really liked how Molly emphasized that diverse voices from Family Educators is a crucial component of a successful program. The emphasis on timely issues is so important. Three years ago, none of us would have ever predicted this worldwide pandemic, and think about how much it has changed everyone’s life. The module made think about the importance of constantly revamping existing programs to provide the relevant and timely issues such as health equity, mental health, implicit bias, etc. The Patient Story Library shared by the University of Michigan is such a wonderful resource! It is a practical idea that can be duplicated and adapted for every learning institution. This makes me so excited for the future of medical education! Great job!
